When power meet ministry you get pastors that build structures, produce a mass of paperwork. Pastors who receive a lot of honour but who leave little or no trace of disciples because they were too effective to have time for friends. True discipleship only happens where Christ like friendships happen. Where power are swapped for laughter en weeping. Where structures are pushed aside to make place for those who does not deserve the important time of the pastor. Where paperwork are replaced by knee work… Discipling is never a one way street it is always working in both directions, thus the person without disciples is a very poor person indeed. Count your ministry worthwhile when you look around you and you see a lot of INTAMATE friends.
And now these three remain: Coffee, Theology and Humour. But the greatest of these is God.
